ABOUT US
Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., established on December 4th, 1906, and chartered in Iowa on March 11th, 1922, is driven by a mission to develop leaders, promote brotherhood, and foster academic excellence while providing service and advocacy to our communities.
Inspired by our commitment to these principles, we created a signature event that reflects who we are and uplifts our community. It is our opportunity to not only celebrate our history but to contribute to the future by inspiring the next generation of leaders. Whether they are standout scholars or unsung heroes in their classrooms and communities, we seek to recognize and support them. Through this event, we connect students with community partners who can help propel them forward in their journeys toward greatness.
Our vision with the "20 Under Twenty" Program is to create a tradition that tells the story “Excellence Lives Here.”

This event would not be possible without the support of our partner, the Creative Corridor Center for Equity. The Creative Corridor Center for Equity (C3E) was established to foster systemic strategies to achieve racial equity. Founded in September 2015 by visionary leaders committed to creating positive change, C3E aims to improve community engagement and promote organizations actively working to dismantle racial disparities. By incubating innovative and sustainable solutions, C3E addresses the complex challenges faced by marginalized communities, providing resources and support to drive transformative social change. Our work is grounded in the belief that achieving racial equity requires collaborative efforts and bold strategies across various sectors, from education to policy-making. C3E's ultimate goal is to create an inclusive society where social justice is not only a concept but a lived reality for all individuals, regardless of their background.
